This past weekend the Ragin’ Cajuns Water Ski Team was in Monroe, LA for the annual Bayou Classic. The National Champion team came home with a hard fought win over their in state rivals, The ULM Warhawks. With most of the team away in Japan at University Worlds for their last tournament, this was the team's first tournament this season together as a whole. There were some outstanding individual performances from the Cajuns, including Dane Mechler setting a course record in slalom. As always though, it was their strength as a team that brought home the victory.
This upcoming weekend the team will be going to Katy, TX for the South Central Regionals. The Cajuns were in Katy last year and succeeded in bringing home the Regional Title. The team is gearing up to defend that title on the same lake this year.
Looking into October, the NCWSA Nationals will be held in El Centro, California on October 13-15. The team knows what it takes to win a National Championship, the hard work and dedication never stops. The 3.2 GPA team keeps up with their studies as they prepare to travel to the deserts of California and defend their National Champion Title.
Geaux Cajuns!
